Good product and excellent customer service from SwimOutlet

First of all, this is a good product. I bought it to replace a waterproof iPod shuffle with plug-in earbuds, which shred in the pocket of my swim parka and break down over time. The player is still good, but I've replaced the earbuds multiple times over the years. The bone conduction aspect of this player eliminates the need to buy new earbuds 1-3 times a year. The lack of a cord is also a big plus, as there is now no risk of pulling anything out while moving my arms. The player can connect to your phone with Bluetooth and the range of the Bluetooth in dry conditions is long; basically my entire three-bedroom one-level house. You can also upload music, which is necessary for swims because Bluetooth doesn't work underwater. (This isn't a criticism of the player; it's just physics.) It accepts music in both mp3 and Apple's m4a format, which is nice because I've had problems in the past with players that can only handle mp3s and then I have to make mp3 versions of albums in iTunes. I bought this particular model because I am a weirdo who doesn't wear goggles and it has a headband that makes goggles unnecessary, and it performed fine during the one swim I did so far. It's not so big that I can dislodge it by moving normally. The sound quality is better underwater, which is unsurprising because the water blocks ambient noises you'd hear on the surface. The only trouble I've had hearing it so far was when I was wearing it with a bike helmet (which did move the headband a little) on…

They didn’t work well underwater unless maybe you use the earplugs, the bone conduction is inferior to the Finis model. Also I can’t use them in my Endless Pool as the running water makes too much noise to hear anything even with the ear plugs in!🥲
